GET TO BYRON BAY BY CAR Byron Bay is 10 hours drive north of Sydney, 1.5 hours drive south of Brisbane and 40 min drive south of Queensland's Gold Coast. If you are coming from the south: From Ballina you can take either the Pacific Hwy, or the coast road to Byron Bay.
If you are coming from the north: Head south, down the Pacific Highway, cross the bridge over the Brunswick River, continue past the Brunswick Heads turn-off (on the left) and Mullumbimby turn off (on the right), then take the Byron Bay exit (on the left).
RAIL TO BYRON BAY
Note that trains no longer run to Byron Bay.
GET TO BYRON BAY BY BUS
Greyhound Pioneer coach - cost about $85, and travel

at www.greyhound.com.au. There is also a wide choice of airport shuttle busses operating from Brisbane, Coolangatta and Ballina airports.
